I wasted a full week trying to make Icedrive work (and give it a fair try), but it wasn't worth it, it was only a big waste of time. I've complained to the support a few times (they're slow and you need to insist with additional messages), they didn't give any useful help, oh it was server problems we had, try again now, guess what, it didn't work, same issues.
It doesn't give you any trust that your important files are being sync in realtime. If pc goes to sleep, and then wake, the syncs randomly stop working again.
The sync app struggles to sync files, taking hours doing god knows what, random crashes, syncs stop working at all (needing to setup them again). After a year I decided to start using it to sync files with my computer that's when everything fell apart. It was working fine to store just a few important files and nothing else. The more people that use Icedrive, the faster development is.

(very tedious and frustrating) - Virtual drive can lock permission of files if there is an upload error (occasionally), so you can't delete or manipulate the file until reboot - pdf viewer in portable app is very slow at opening pdf's (minutes slow) TL DR - I recommend icedrive 100%, but keep in mind that they are a new company with some bugs to fix. Some files will not upload (I think from internet instability), but Icedrive will not auto-retry the file, so you manually have to go back and search for it and re-upload it again. Here are some things that are missing/bugs: - 2 factor-authentication - Sorting doesn't work every time (also needs sort by type) - uploading through all platforms is a pain. But these won't ruin your data in any way (from my experience). They have a handful of features that should be implemented and a couple of bugs with the sync feature. However, with that said, if anyone is looking to buy Icedrive consider that they're a newer company. I started with the 1TB pro plan just to try it out and upgraded to 5TB pro+ plan because I liked it so much. Client-side encryption, ability to stream video, cheap price.
I bought it because it checked off almost every box for me.
